Pink House Alchemy: Sarsaparilla Syrup

Sarsaparilla is a root that grows in the hills and forests of the Ozarks. It’s naturally sweet with a distinctly earthy flavor. This root has been used for decades to make root beer.

Ingredients: cane sugar, water, sarsaparilla root, lactic acid

Recipes:

Sarsaparilla Old Fashioned

2 oz. bourbon
.5 oz. pH Sarsaparilla syrup
2-3 dashes pH Sarsaparilla bitters
Thick slice orange rind

Combine and serve.
